Property Map

Profile sources import user attributes; to specify the attributes you want to import:

1. If necessary, create portal properties for the attributes you want to import.

2. Associate the portal properties with the user object through the Global Object Property Map.

3. Map the portal properties to source user attributes.

To specify how to map source user attributes to portal properties:

• To add properties, click Add Property; then, in the Choose Property dialog box, select the properties you want to add and click OK.
  
  Note: You can add only those properties that have been associated with users in the Global Object Property Map (as described in step 2).

• To map a source user attribute to a portal property, click to the far right of the property, type the name of the attribute in the box, and click to save the mapping.

• To remove a mapping, select the mapping and click .

• To select or clear all of the mapping check boxes, select or clear the box to the left of Properties.

• To toggle the order in which the folders are sorted, click Properties or click the icon to the right of that— (sort ascending, a-z) or (sort descending, z-a).

• To display the page associated with this help topic:

1. Click Administration.
2. Open the Profile Source Editor:
• To create a new remote profile source:
1. Open an administrative folder.
2. In the Create Object drop-down list, click Profile Source - Remote.
• To edit an existing remote profile source:
1. Navigate to the remote profile source you want to edit.
2. Click the remote profile source name.
3. On the left, under Edit Object Settings, click Property Map.
