Edit My Communities

Communities are sites within the portal designed for a specific audience or task. After you join a community, a link to the community displays in the My Communities menu.

You can perform the following actions to help you find communities:

Recommending Communities

To recommend a community to other users:

  1. Under the community name, click Invite.

  2. In the dialog box, copy the text, then click Close.

  3. In your e-mail application, paste the text into an e-mail message and send it.

When other portal users click the URL in your e-mail, they are taken to the community preview and given the option to join. If a user does not have permission to see the community, an error message is displayed.
