Use this page to edit refresh and expiration settings for the selected document.
In Document Expiration, choose whether or not the link to the document should expire. It is useful to set an expiration if the document will become irrelevant at some point.
Choose an option for Document should fit this condition.
If you chose Delete
on, you must also type a date in the box or click to choose a date.
In Link and Property Refresh, choose whether or not the Document Refresh Agent should periodically update the document and its properties. When a link is refreshed, the Document Refresh Agent verifies whether the source document still exists. If the document exists, the Document Refresh Agent updates the associated property values from the source document. If the document does not exist, the Document Refresh Agent applies the settings you specify in Broken Links, which is described next. In Link and Property Refresh:
Choose a The portal should refresh this document and its properties option.
If you chose Every, you must also type a number in the box and choose an interval from the list.
To prevent the portal from refreshing document properties, select Only confirm the validity of the links to these documents. If you select this option, the portal continues to verify that the link is valid but does not refresh document properties.
In Broken Links, specify what happens to links to the document if the Document Refresh Agent finds that the source document does not exist:
Choose an option.
If you chose Deleted after, you must also type a number in the box and choose an interval from the list.
