Federated Search

Use this page to search for content in Web search engines (for example, Google or AltaVista), other portals, or other collections of information (for example, a Lotus Notes collection or a set of customer service incident reports).

To perform a federated search:

  1. In the Search for text box, type the text you want to search for.

  2. By default, 5 results per location are returned. To increase the number of results returned per location, select a new number in the Number of results per location drop-down list.

  3. To select all the search locations, select the box next to Search Location; to select particular search locations, select the locations.

  4. To save your search location settings, select Always search these locations for me.

  5. Click Search.
