To specify which users and groups can access this portlet and what type of access they have, perform one or more of the following actions:
To allow additional users or groups access to
this portlet, click Add
Users/Groups.
If this portlet can be added to My Pages and is not a header, footer, or content canvas portlet, you can force users or groups to include this portlet on their default My Pages. To do so, in the Mandatory drop-down list, click Mandatory. These users and groups will not be able to remove this portlet from their My Pages.
If you chose Mandatory for any user or group, you must also set this portlet's priority in the Mandatory Portlet Priority drop-down list. The priority determines the portlet's placement on the My Page; portlets with higher priority display closer to the upper-left of the My Page then portlets with lower priority.
To specify the type of access a user or group has, in the Privilege column, click the type of access in the drop-down list to the right of the user or group. You can choose from the following types of access:
Admin allows users or groups full administrative control of this portlet, including deleting the portlet, approving it for migration, or changing the portlet's security.
Notes:
Header and footer portlets used in a community can be seen by any user that has at least Read access to the community.
Default access privileges to this portlet are based on the security of the folder in which the portlet is stored.
To remove a user or group, select the user or
group and click .
To select or clear all of the user and group check boxes, select or clear the box to the left of Users/Groups.
To toggle the order in which the users and groups
are sorted, click Users/Groups
or click the icon to the right of that— (sort ascending,
a-z) or
(sort descending, z-a).
To see what users are included in a group, click the group name.
Note: If a user is a member of more than one group included in the list, or if they are included as an individual user and as part of a group, that user gets the highest privilege available to her for this portlet. For example, if a user is part of the Everyone group (which has Read access) and the Administrators Group (which has Admin access), that user gets the higher access to the portlet: Admin.
