Mobile Device Authentication

This page allows you to set a user name and password that is easier for users who access the portal through a mobile device. For example, on mobile phones it is easier to enter numbers rather than letters, so you would create a numeric user name. You do not need to fill out this page if this user will not access the portal through a mobile device.

Note: To allow users to use a numeric login, you must enable Allow numeric Login for mobile devices on the User Settings Manager page of the Portal Settings Utility.

To specify mobile device authentication settings:

1. In the Numeric Username box, type the numbers this user must enter to log in to the portal from a mobile device. Make sure the user name is easy to remember (for example, a phone number).

2. In the Numeric Password box, type the numbers this user must enter to log in to the portal from a mobile device.

3. In the Confirm Numeric Password box, type the same password as in step 2.

1. Navigate to the user you want to edit.
2. Click the user name.
