Main Settings (Intrinsic Portlet Web Service)

To specify a portlet class identifier and enable or disable portlets associated with this Web service:

1. In the Portlet Class Identifier box, type the "STR_MVC_CLASS_NAME" string variable that is defined in the model for your intrinsic portlet.

2. Under Status of Web Service, specify what content should display for any portlets created from this portlet Web service:

• To display the portlet content, click Enabled.

• To display a message rather than the portlet content, click Disabled with message and type a message in the box.

You can toggle the status of this portlet Web service at any time. For example, you might want to disable a portlet Web service if you need to do maintenance on the host computer or the portlet Web service itself.

1. Click Administration.
2. Open the Intrinsic Portlet Web Service Editor:
• To create a new intrinsic portlet Web service:
1. Open an administrative folder.
2. In the Create Object drop-down list, click Web Service - Intrinsic Portlet.
• To edit an existing intrinsic portlet Web service:
1. Navigate to the intrinsic portlet Web service you want to edit.
2. Click the intrinsic portlet Web service name.
