Advanced Settings (Profile Web Service)

To specify additional settings for this Web service:

1. Under SOAP Encoding Style, specify how information from this Web service is encoded:

• RPC/Encoded: Choose this setting if this Web service uses Java.

• Document/Literal: Choose this setting if this Web service uses .NET.

Important: If you are editing an existing Web service, do not change this setting.

2. Your Web service might require profile source-specific configuration settings. For example, you might need information to limit the user information imported into the portal. If so, you can include a page for these settings in the associated Profile Source Editor. In the Service Configuration URL box, type the path to the configuration page.

1. Click Administration.
2. Open the Profile Web Service Editor:
• To create a new profile Web service:
1. Open an administrative folder.
2. In the Create Object drop-down list, click Web Service - Profile.
• To edit an existing profile Web service:
1. Navigate to the profile Web service you want to edit.
2. Click the profile Web service name.
3. On the left, under Edit Object Settings, click Advanced Settings.
