To specify a name and description for this authentication source, the language of this authentication source, any localized names and descriptions, and any object properties:
In the Name box, type a name for this authentication source.
This name displays in the Administrative Object Directory to help other administrators understand what this Authentication Source is used for.
For authentication sources that only authenticate users, this description displays to administrators creating the associated synchronization authentication source (on the Synchronization page in the Authentication Partners drop-down list). When you or other administrators create synchronization-only authentication sources, you must choose the appropriate authentication-only authentication source. For this reason, carefully word this description so you can understand which authentication source to choose later.
In the Description box, type a description for this authentication source.
This description displays in the Administrative Object Directory to help other administrators understand what this authentication source is used for.
For authentication sources that synchronize users, this description displays to users logging in (on the Login page in the Authentication Source drop-down list). Users imported through an external source must choose the appropriate authentication source to log in to your portal. For this reason, carefully word this description so users can understand which authentication source to choose.
Next to Primary Language, you see one of two things:
If your portal administrator set a mandatory object language in the portal configuration file, you see the mandatory language. You must supply a name (and, optionally, a description) for this language.
If your portal administrator has not set a mandatory language, you see a drop-down list. Choose the language for this authentication source's default name and description.
If you want to add names and descriptions for languages other than the primary language, select Supports Localized Names. A new section displays, allowing you to add names and descriptions for additional languages (see Step 5).
If you selected Supports Localized Names, you can add names and descriptions to display to users who have chosen a language for the portal display other than the primary language you selected:
Note: If this authentication
source has already been localized into all supported languages, you cannot
add more localized names and descriptions (Add
is not displayed).
When you are done, click Finish.
To remove an existing language, select the
entry you want to remove and click .
To select or clear all of the language check boxes, select or clear the box to the left of Name.
Under Object Properties:
To enter values for properties, type the value in the box to the right of the property.
To add or delete properties from all
objects of this type, click Open
Properties Map. This displays the Global
Object Property Map.
