Subcommunities, which can be nested up to eight levels deep, allow you to have differently secured subsections in a community. For example, you might have a Marketing community that contains the Advertising Subcommunity. The Advertising Subcommunity could have distinct owners; or only a subset of the Marketing community might be entitled to see the Advertising Subcommunity.
You can perform the following actions on this page:
To create a subcommunity for this community, click
Create
Subcommunity. Complete the Community Editor. For more information,
click here.
The new subcommunity you create is stored in the parent community folder.
You can also create a subcommunity by navigating to the parent community
folder and, from the Create Object drop-down list, selecting Community.
To edit a subcommunity, click its name.
To delete a subcommunity, select it and click
.
When you delete a subcommunity, it is deleted from the parent community
folder.
To change the order in which subcommunities are
sorted, click Subcommunity Names.
The icon to the right of the column name signifies the current alphabetical
sort order: ascending () or descending (
).
