Advanced Search

The Advanced Search page lets you search for items in your portal using metadata properties and location to define your search.

To define your search:

  1. Specify the types of objects to search for. By default, the portal searches all object types (documents, folders, communities, portlets, and users). To limit your search to specific object types, clear the check boxes next to the object types you do not want to search.

  2. Specify the application to search. By default, the portal searches all applications (portal, Collaboration Server, and Content Server). To limit your search to a specific application, select it.

  5. To perform your search, click Search.
